History is shaped not only by us humans, but also by the things that surround us every day. This fact fascinated me so much that I decided to focus my studies as a historian on cultural history and medieval history, and subsequently wrote my master’s thesis on artificially produced fruit ensembles in Austrian monastery collections. My interest in the complex interrelationships between different types of objects and the people who moved in their spheres of influence ultimately brought me to IMAREAL
